Nigerian music star Mr. Eazi has taken fans by surprise with the reveal of the official tracklist for his upcoming EP, Maison Rouge, set for release later this month.
The project, named after the villa where it was recorded, is set for release on October 29, 2025, and marks a return to the artist’s signature Banku Music style, a rhythmic blend of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian melodies that first defined his sound.
The singer and entrepreneur shared the news on X (formerly Twitter) on October 18, 2025, describing the EP as a spontaneous creation driven purely by inspiration. “I’ve got a new EP out 29th October & it’s called ‘Maison Rouge,’ named after the villa in [location] where I recorded the project,” he wrote. “This one’s special ’cos it was unplanned and 100% vibes & Banku Music.”
The title, which translates to “Red House” in French, refers to a villa in Cotonou, Benin, where Mr. Eazi recorded the project. The recording sessions reportedly took place in a relaxed, creative setting, resulting in music that feels raw, organic, and deeply personal.
From the tracklist Mr Eazi shared, the Maison Rouge EP features seven songs in total, a mix of fresh tracks and previously released singles that have already resonated with fans. The tracklist includes Wait For Your Love, Casanova, Make E No Tey, Corny, Bus Stop, Love Me Now, and Violence. Each song captures a different side of Mr. Eazi’s artistry, from romantic introspection to laid-back grooves and rhythmic experimentation.
Several of the previously released tracks, including Casanova, Corny, Love Me Now, and Violence, have been gaining traction on streaming platforms for their emotional honesty and distinctive production. Love Me Now, in particular, has stood out as a heartfelt tribute to his mother, while Violence showcases a stripped-down, haunting sound.
Behind the project is a lineup of top Afrobeats producers, including P. Prime, Ekelly, TMXO, and Kel-P, who each bring their unique touch to the music. Together, they craft a soundscape that is both polished and unrestrained, reminiscent of Mr. Eazi’s early creative phase but with the refinement of experience.
With its unexpected announcement and minimalist rollout, Maison Rouge captures the essence of artistic freedom. It reflects a moment of creative spontaneity for Mr. Eazi, reminding fans why he remains one of the most inventive and unpredictable forces in modern Afrobeats.
