PH Raw Calls For A National GALXBOY Day In A Celebratory Post. South African musician PH Raw X and producer has sparked a wave of excitement online after suggesting that the country formally celebrate GALXBOY, the local clothing brand making major strides in fashion and cultural innovation.
Taking to Instagram, PH Raw expressed his awe as he showered praises for what the GALXBOY brand has created and achieved over the past few years it has been in the market. “We need a national @Galxboy_sa Day in Southa! What this company has created and achieved should be celebrated,” wrote PH Raw.
PH Raw is not the only SA Hip hop head who has praised the streetwear brand for its immense creativity and contribution to the culture. The late rapper AKA also praised the brand in one of his posthumous songs, Lemons Lemonade, with a line, “Star signs, pull up and shine at Nostra
GALXBOY, that’s culture.”
Founded by visionary entrepreneur Thatiso Dube, GALXBOY began as a humble high school side hustle in Pretoria, where Dube started designing and selling custom T-shirts to his peers. The brand’s commitment to job creation hasn’t gone unnoticed—Dube was honoured as the Job Creator of the Year at the 2025 Business Partners Ltd. Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. Additionally, he was named a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year in the Medium Business category, solidifying GALXBOY’s status as a leader in African urban fashion.
