South African hip hop heavyweight Stogie T is back with a double release, unveiling his new singles “No Healing” and “Leopold II” as he counts down to the release of his highly anticipated album Anomy on 28 November.
In a heartfelt message to fans, Stogie T opened up about the inspiration behind “No Healing,” a track that speaks to the complexities of human connection and personal redemption. “This song reflects my relationships with those I’ve been blessed to create with,” he shared, highlighting collaborations with some of South Africa’s finest talents.
Joey 2.0, praised for his sharp pen and tender melodies, and Ta Longz, described as one of the country’s fiercest voices, both bring depth and urgency to the track. The beat, crafted by Michael, was originally intended for a mixtape with A-Reece that never came to fruition.
Stogie T acknowledges the ironic weight of the song’s title, noting that it was written by men who have each experienced the depths of God’s mercy and grace. He described his own story as one of “bruises and breakthroughs and a life stitched together by a healer I once hid from.”
