The proposed breakaway R360 league is reportedly dead in the water.
According to The Roar, threats of 10-year bans from major rugby unions as well as Australia’s NRL mean the R360 concept is effectively over before it even began.
Fronted by former England international Mike Tindall and originally slated to kick off this year, the launch was pushed back to October 2026.
R360 aims to attract 300 of the best players in the world across both the men and women’s game.

The Roar claims that player agents, who stood to earn huge fees from the new competition, have all but given up hope of the Formula One-style tournament being established within the next two years.
After agents were told to get ready for new details on 1 October, the goalposts were moved the deeper the month went on.
The website says unless R360’s organisers provide new details of the competition by 1 December, a number of player agents will walk away from negotiations.
