Cheetahs set to roar in Amsterdam again

The Cheetahs will once again make Amsterdam their European base when they contest the EPCR Challenge Cup later this year.

The Bloemfontein outfit kicks off their 2025/26 campaign against Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park on Sunday, 7 December, before shifting to the NRCA Stadium in the Netherlands for two home fixtures.

The Cheetahs will host French heavyweights Stade Français on Saturday, 13 December, followed by a clash with Ulster Rugby on Sunday, 11 January. Their final pool match takes them to Paris, where they face Racing 92 at the Paris La Défense Arena on Sunday, 18 January.

This will be the third consecutive year that Amsterdam stages Cheetahs “home” matches, with Rugby Netherlands again partnering to provide a world-class venue.

Cheetahs CEO Rory Duncan, said:

“It is an honour for the Toyota Cheetahs as we take our brand of rugby into the heart of Europe. We are grateful to Rugby Netherlands and the EPCR for this opportunity.

“This will be the third consecutive year that Rugby Netherlands has assisted us with a home base, and we are deeply appreciative of their ongoing support. Amsterdam provides us with a fantastic platform to connect with new supporters and expats while proudly representing the Free State and South Africa on an international stage.

“Our team is determined to be competitive and to make our mark in this prestigious competition.”
