A standout Wales scrumhalf has signed for English Premiership heavyweights Saracens from next season.
Tomos Williams departs from Gloucester at the end of the current campaign.
The 30-year-old has been one of the Premiership’s standout performers since arriving at Kingsholm in 2024, earning Premiership Player of the Season honours in June before being named Gloucester captain this term.

Gloucester confirmed earlier this month that Williams would be leaving the club, with Saracens announcing on Christmas that he will move to north London ahead of the 2025-26 season.
“Tomos is a player we have rated very highly for a long time, and we believe he will be an outstanding addition to our squad,” Saracens said in a 25 December statement.
“He is a world-class operator, and we are hugely excited to see him pull on a Saracens shirt next season.”

Williams said he was relishing the challenge of joining the six-time Premiership champions.
“I’m really excited to be joining Saracens, a club I have always admired,” he said.
“There are great coaches and players at the club and I’m looking forward to joining them in the summer.”

The Welsh international was selected for this year’s British and Irish Lions tour and impressed in a warm-up victory over Argentina. However, his involvement was cut short after he suffered a hamstring injury in the opening match on Australian soil against Western Force, despite scoring two tries.
