As the new academic year gains momentum, BET Software is expanding its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programme, welcoming a new cohort of beneficiary schools and reinforcing its commitment to building an inclusive, digital-savvy South Africa.

The expansion kicked off with the delivery of technology equipment to Ullovu High School, south of Durban, marking the first school to benefit from the programme in 2025. The initiative is designed to give learners access to the digital tools and skills they need to participate meaningfully in the modern economy.

Speaking to learners at Ullovu High School, Gizelle Govender, Talent Manager at BET Software, highlighted the company’s long-term vision for education and youth development. “Our role as BET Software is to ensure you have access to the resources you need to excel in the digital age and step confidently into the world of smart living,” Govender said. “We are committed to supporting you. You now join our family of high schools with access to our Dare to Dream bursaries.”

Govender noted that many bursary recipients have gone on to join the BET Software Graduate Programme, building successful careers within the company as software developers, DevOps engineers, quality analysts, software architects, and business analysts. These success stories reflect the programme’s focus on turning classroom potential into real-world opportunity.

Alongside welcoming new beneficiary schools, BET Software also took time to celebrate the resilience and achievements of the Class of 2025, recognising learners who overcame challenges and redefined what is possible through determination and ambition. “Milestones like these affirm why investment in education matters,” said Michael Collins, General Manager at BET Software. “Welcoming new schools while celebrating learners who push boundaries reflects our belief that access, inclusion, and excellence must go hand in hand.”

The CSI programme forms part of BET Software’s broader mission to grow South Africa’s digital talent pipeline, particularly in communities where access to tech has historically been limited. From improved digital infrastructure in classrooms to bursaries and graduate opportunities, the company’s approach focuses on long-term impact rather than short-term intervention.

As learners return to school and plan their futures, the company’s message is clear. With the right support, guidance, and access to opportunity, young South Africans can build careers that shape industries, drive innovation, and contribute meaningfully to the country’s digital economy.

From classrooms to careers, BET Software is proving that when talent meets opportunity, the future writes itself.
