BhutLegend Reveals Why He Almost Scrapped ‘Imali’ Featuring iFani & Bravo Le Roux. BhutLegend has confirmed the release date for his long-awaited single Imali, which features verses from veteran lyricist iFani and the late Bravo Le Roux.

The song is now set to arrive on March 13, 2026, with a presave link already available in BhutLegend’s social media bio. The announcement came with a heartfelt explanation from the artist, who addressed the delay that pushed the release beyond its original February 2026 timeline.
According to BhutLegend, several unexpected factors disrupted the rollout. More deeply, he admitted that he struggled with the idea of releasing the track at all due to the emotional circumstances surrounding the project.
Part of that hesitation is connected to the passing of Bravo Le Roux, whose verse on Imali now stands among the final recordings from the respected rapper. The reality of releasing a song tied to such a personal loss weighed heavily on BhutLegend, making the decision far from straightforward.
BhutLegend shared that the collaboration was born out of admiration for iFani, whom he and his team have long respected. That admiration helped shape the concept behind Imali, bringing together artists from different moments in South African hip hop. Both featured rappers delivered powerful contributions that strengthened the record.
Despite his doubts, BhutLegend said his team encouraged him to move forward with the release, reminding him how much the song meant to Bravo Le Roux as well.
“The record meant a lot to my brother the same way it means a lot to me,” BhutLegend wrote while reflecting on the collaboration. “Truth be told, we’ve always been big fans of iFani, hence we even made this record with him.”
The track’s production was handled by IvyBlak, while Isaac Wilson ZA oversaw the mixing and mastering. The artwork for the single was designed by Umxhaka__.
The delay highlights the emotional complexity artists sometimes face when music becomes intertwined with personal loss and legacy. In this case, fans have rallied behind BhutLegend’s decision to release the record, viewing Imali not only as a collaboration but also as a tribute to Bravo Le Roux’s lasting impact.
With its lineup of respected voices and polished production, Imali is expected to arrive as a reflective and meaningful release. The title, which translates to “money” in isiZulu and isiXhosa, hints at themes of ambition, survival, and respect within the culture. Supporters can presave the track now ahead of its March 13 debut.
