Saffas Abroad: Lukhanyo dots down for Dynaboars

Lukhanyo Am got on the scoresheet for the Mitsubishi Dynaboars as South Africa’s foreign legion impressed across Europe and Japan.

Bulls-bound flank Hanro Liebenberg started for the Leicester Tigers in their 46-21 win against Johann van Graan’s Bath at Welford Road. Former Junior Boks scrumhalf Neil le Roux featured as a replacement for Bath.

Props Khwezi Mona and Ethan Burger came off the Exeter Chiefs’ bench  in a 31-14 win against the Northampton Saints at Sandy Park. JJ van der Mescht started on the flank for Saints.

Japan Rugby League One
Springbok centre Lukhanyo Am scored a second-half try as the Mitsubishi Dynaboars earned a 34-15 win against the Suntory Sungoliath in Tokyo. Pieter Scholtz started at tighthead prop and Gideon Koegelenberg at lock for the Dynaboars.

Manie Libbok wore the Kintetsu Liners No 10 jersey in their 30-22 defeat to the Kamaishi Seawaves in Iwate, while Burger Odendaal featured in midfield for the Liners.
