He notes, however, that slower and more melodic interpretations of these sounds often receive a different reception. As a key figure in South African hip-hop, FLVME has made a name for blending trap, melodic rap, and introspective lyricism. His discography spans energetic anthems and smooth, atmospheric tracks.
