A star Vodacom Bulls player faces an extended period on the sidelines, while another is in doubt for Friday night’s clash against Cardiff at Loftus.
The Pretoria-based side is set to be without in-form back Sebastian de Klerk after he sustained a suspected broken bone in his foot in the 32-19 loss to the Stormers on Saturday.
De Klerk, one of the Bulls’ standout performers this season, left the field shortly before half-time and was later seen wearing a moon boot, casting serious doubt over his availability for the remainder of the URC campaign.

“There is something wrong with Sebastian’s foot; it could be a broken bone. We will get more clarity later,” said Bulls coach Johan Ackermann.
De Klerk’s absence would be a significant blow for the Bulls, with the outside back having reportedly caught the attention of Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus through a series of impressive displays.

There are also concerns over inside centre Harold Vorster.
“Harold failed his concussion test right at the end [of the match],” said Ackermann. “We will have to see if he will have enough days to turn it around, but it does not look good.”
With six regular-season rounds remaining, the Bulls lie eighth on the URC log and in a battle to stay in the playoff places.
