Loki Explains The True Meaning Behind His New Single “July.” Durban’s own award-winning hip-hop artist Loki (real name Ndlelenhle Nyuswa), affectionately known as Lokish or “Tom Cruise omnyama,” officially released his deeply personal new single “July”.

“First thing first, ‘July’ out now. Somebody asked me what the meaning of ‘July’ is and how it came about because there’s something in that song, there’s a feeling there.”

Because everyone seems to remember home when it’s bad. People go home when things are bad, and when life is just chowing them, you know.”

Not that I never did anything, but I’m a person who always wants to do things better, especially for the people I love. So that song is that, and that song is a piece of me, and I also try to do it so that other people can find a piece of themselves in the song.”
