Garsfontein claimed another Western Cape scalp on day three of the North-South Rugby Tournament.
Garsfontein came from behind twice to secure a thrilling 31-28 win over Paarl Boys’.
Boys’ High made a strong start to take an early lead, but Garsfontein responded through tries from Justin Blom, Stefan van der Vyver and Yuvrah George to edge 24-21 ahead in the second half.
Paarl Boys’ looked to have completed the comeback when Tristan van Tonder crossed, but Garsfontein had the final say when Drewyn Baron broke from a dominant scrum, found space in the defence and raced clear to seal the win.
Lehan Barnard scored four tries as Paul Roos powered to a 43-12 victory over Pretoria Boys’ High.
Monument ran in 11 tries in a commanding 75-43 win against HTS Drostdy, with Blessing Monareng and Ruan Genis both scoring hat-tricks.
In other results, Jeppe outmuscled Diamantveld 34-21, while Waterkloof and Outeniqua played out a 24-24 draw.
Hoërskool Nelspruit beat Voortrekker 42-22, and a Jamiel Swarts brace helped Framesby to a 37-31 win over EG Jansen.
