Toulouse prop Dorian Aldegheri has been slapped with a three-week suspension following his dangerous tackle in last weekend’s Investec Champions Cup quarter-final defeat to Bordeaux-Bègles.
The 32-year-old was shown a 20-minute red card after a late, clumsy challenge on Bordeaux centre Damian Penaud during Sunday’s clash.

Tournament organisers confirmed the ban on Wednesday, ruling Aldegheri out of at least two upcoming Top 14 fixtures.
“Aldegheri is free to play on Monday 11 May,” European Professional Club Rugby said.
“However, if he applies for and successfully completes the World Rugby Coaching intervention programme, he will be free to play on Monday 27 April,” the body added.
The suspension adds to Toulouse’s frustrations after their quarter-final exit, with the French giants now forced to reshuffle their front row for a crucial stretch of the domestic season.
