The Sharks’ squad reshuffle shows no signs of slowing, with another backline player set to head north.
According to Rapport, centre Le Roux Malan is poised to join Welsh outfit Cardiff later this year, bringing an end to his short stint in Durban.
The 27-year-old was recruited at the end of last year to bolster midfield depth following Lukhanyo Am’s departure to Japan.

The Namibian international is expected to link up with the Vodacom URC side in the coming months, where he will reunite with Corniel van Zyl, who was this week confirmed as Cardiff’s full-time head coach after serving in an interim capacity.
Malan’s impending exit comes amid a busy period of player movement at the Sharks.
The Durban-based side has already confirmed the return of hooker Kerron van Vuuren on a short-term deal for the remainder of the season. The 30-year-old adds valuable experience and depth to the front row, having previously represented the Sharks between 2016 and 2024 before a stint with American club the Seattle Seawolves.
There could also be another familiar face returning.
Former Sharks centre Murray Koster is reportedly in line for a move back to Durban. The 27-year-old spent five years at the union before continuing his career in Japan.
