Usimamane Challenges LaCabra’s “Mr Bully” Persona In Sharp Diss Track “Real Bully.” The temperature in the South African hip-hop scene just skyrocketed as Usimamane clapped back hard at LaCabra, turning their ongoing Twitter beef into a full-blown musical diss track.

After LaCabra dropped “Idilozi” and other shots aimed at Usimamane (including heavy accusations of soul-selling), the Durban trap star wasted no time responding. Usimamane jumped on the same beat and delivered a series of sharp, street-flavoured bars that have fans calling it one of the most “cultured” responses in recent Mzansi rap memory.
In the track, Usimamane goes straight for the jugular with lines that mix bravado, clever disses, and heavy Zulu slang:
“We can leave the music for a squabble uthole iscima”
He mocks LaCabra’s tough-guy persona with a hilarious cartoon reference:
“Thinking you got that dawg in you, but you Scooby Doo”
Usimamane then directly challenges the “Mr Bully” title that LaCabra has been pushing:
“Stop tweeting that you are Mr Bully, Bvtch come take the title”
He flexes on his longevity and dominance in the trap game, claiming superiority even after taking time off:
“Took a break from trap unyaka wonke still ain’t bigger than me”
And in one of the slickest jabs, he calls out LaCabra’s vocal delivery:
“Ayy, put on that auto tune inyuse yonke lemme sound like him”
The move to respond on the original beat while refusing to hide behind auto-tune has been widely praised by fans as a “cultured” and strategic power move — proving he can still rap raw in a battle.
The rivalry intensified after reports surfaced of a past incident where Usimamane’s team allegedly had LaCabra removed from a section at his own event. LaCabra denied aspects of the story and fired back with diss tracks, pulling in references to soul-selling and the current wave of Durban and Qweller-affiliated artists.
Usimamane, known for his ability to switch between trap and straight rap, has been active in multiple spats lately, positioning himself as a dominant voice among the new generation. Social media has exploded since the response dropped. Supporters of Usimamane are calling it a decisive round, highlighting how he flipped the “bully” narrative and questioned whether LaCabra can back up his online energy in real life. Others are waiting to see if LaCabra will reload with another track or keep the war in the tweet zone.
This latest diss adds more fuel to an already fiery chapter in SA hip-hop, where new-school talents are clashing and pushing the culture forward through competition. Whether this stays in the booth or spills further into the streets remains to be seen.
