Cardiff Rugby have confirmed the signing of Le Roux Malan from the Sharks.
The Namibia international will join the Welsh club ahead of next season after making eight senior appearances for the Sharks during the current Vodacom URC and Challenge Cup campaigns.
Cardiff assistant coach Corniel van Zyl said Malan had impressed since arriving at the Sharks and even caught the Welsh side’s attention during a recent clash between the teams.

The powerful back added that Cardiff’s long-term vision under Van Zyl played a major role in convincing him to make the move.
“The project that Corniel laid out is something that excites me,” he said.
“I believe I can learn and grow there as a player and as a person.”
Malan also said he was eager to experience the atmosphere at the historic Cardiff Arms Park.
“Playing at the Arms Park is going to be very cool,” he said.
“It’s such a historic ground and I can’t wait to represent the club.”
