Boeta Chamberlain is among three South Africans whose contracts have not be renewed by the Newcastle Red Bulls.
The utility back joined the English club from the Bulls after last year’s Currie Cup and made 13 appearances across competitions, including seven starts. He has not featured since 21 March.
Former Pumas fullback Stefan Coetzee, who signed for Newcastle last September, has also been released after making just six appearances, including four starts.

Former Cheetahs prop Luan de Bruin will also leave after a single season at the club, having made 13 appearances and six starts.
Both Coetzee and De Bruin last featured for Newcastle on 30 January.
