Speaking in a recent video message, Stilo shared that he initially reached out to supporters and collaborators in hopes of finding “homies, brothers, sisters” who could join him on the remix of “They Talk.” What followed, according to the rapper, was an overwhelming response that exceeded expectations.

“Over a week ago, I reached out to you guys to help me find some people, homies, brothers, sisters who can join me on this They Talk Street Mix. And the response has been incredible, overwhelming to say the least,” he said.

The excitement surrounding the remix appears to have pushed the concept into a much larger movement than originally planned. Instead of releasing a single version, Stilo announced that there will now be several editions of the street mix, each representing different parts of the lay of the land.

“It looks like we’re going to do a couple of versions and its gonna be representatives of different parts of the layer of the land. So the first one, They Talk Street Mix, it’s gonna be from the Vaal, and we’re dropping it this week,” Stilo Magolide added.

The first instalment, which he described as coming “from the wild,” is already generating intense speculation online. Fans have begun trying to piece together clues about which artists could appear on the remix, with many expecting a lineup packed with street-centred lyricists, underground talent, and unexpected collaborations.

Stilo then turned the rollout into a challenge for fans, asking supporters to guess who made the cut before confirming that the first version of the remix is set to drop this week.

The move reflects the growing energy around collaborative street remixes within South African hip-hop, where artists are increasingly using cypher-style records and regional collaborations to spotlight emerging voices while strengthening community ties within the culture.
