Toulouse have strengthened their already formidable squad with the signing of an influential Italy centre on a long-term deal.
Benetton’s Tommaso Menoncello swaps the Vodacom URC for the French Top 14 champions, putting pen to paper on a deal running until 2029.
The powerful 23-year-old centre has already earned 39 Test caps for Italy and is widely regarded as one of the premier No 12s in the global game.
He has formed an impressive midfield partnership with Juan Ignacio Brex, the Argentina-born Italy centre who currently plays for Toulon.
Menoncello was named Player of the Tournament after the 2024 Six Nations and starred for Italy during this year’s championship, scoring a crucial try in their historic victory over England.
Several French clubs were reportedly interested in securing his services, but Toulouse ultimately won the race for his signature.

Menoncello’s arrival further strengthens Toulouse’s enviable depth in midfield.
The French giants already boast an impressive group of centres that includes Pierre-Louis Barassi, Argentina international Santiago Chocobares and highly-rated young French talent Kalvin Gourgues.
