Three South Africans have been named in the Barbarians’ starting lineup to face Wales at Twickenham on Saturday.
Springbok World Cup winners Faf de Klerk and Vincent Koch start at scrumhalf and tighthead prop respectively, while former Sharks midfielder Jeremy Ward is at 12.
De Klerk, who came off the Bok bench against the Baa-Baas last week, will captain the side.
“It’s great to have a player of Faf’s quality and experience leading the group this week,” said Barbarians coach Scott Robertson.
“We have a group packed with talent, who have come together from all over the world.
“Faf is such a fierce competitor, he knows how to run a week, so he is driving the boys but he also fully embraces the Barbarian spirit and hits the right balance.”
Wales legend George North has been named on the bench for his final outing ahead of retirement.
