Dupont finally ventures south with France

France have bolstered their squad for the Nations Championship by calling up nine players involved in the Top 14 final, including captain Antoine Dupont.

The star scrumhalf is in line to make his first appearance for Les Bleus in the southern hemisphere since 2017 (against the Springboks in Durban) after being added to Fabien Galthié’s group following Toulouse’s 28-20 victory against Montpellier at the Stade de France.

The new arrivals will not feature in France’s opening Test against the All Blacks in Christchurch on Saturday, but are available for the matches against the Wallabies in Brisbane (11 July) and Japan in Tokyo (18 July).
