The Lions face an anxious wait ahead of Saturday’s Currie Cup showdown against Griquas in Kimberley.
Both captain Ruan Delport and inside centre Rynhardt Jonker are in doubt for the round-four match.
Delport is set to face a disciplinary hearing after his yellow card for a dangerous cleanout in Saturday’s 42-19 victory over the Vodacom Bulls XV at UJ Stadium was upgraded to a red card.

The 24-year-old lock could now miss the Kimberley clash, which is a repeat of last year’s Currie Cup final won 27-25 by Griquas at Ellis Park.
In-form centre Jonker, meanwhile, is battling an ankle injury sustained against the Bulls.
Lions coach Mziwakhe Nkosi revealed after the match that the midfielder was withdrawn as a precaution.
“We didn’t want to take any chances with Rynhardt Jonker, so we took him off early,” he said.
Should Delport receive a suspension, Nkosi has leadership options in his squad, with former Junior Boks captain Thando Biyela and fellow flanker Jarod Cairns among the candidates to take over the captaincy.

Despite the concerns over two of his key players, Nkosi was delighted with the Lions’ dominant display against the Bulls.
“From a performance point of view, we wanted to build on what we did against the Pumas, and we achieved that.”
Nkosi was also pleased to spread the workload through his squad ahead of the trip to Kimberley.
“We’ll take a lot of confidence from this victory and we managed to give a number of players valuable game time, especially Cecil Parsons, Ruan Swart and Exauce Kevani.”
