Blue Pappi Announces Official Date For Joburg “Ehlane Tour.” Blue Pappi is ready to take fans deeper into his musical world with the launch of his EHLANE Tour, bringing the first stop of the highly anticipated run to Johannesburg on 28 August 2026.
The Ladysmith-born artist, whose real name is Bongumenzi Gumede, continues to build momentum as one of South Africa’s most exciting voices in melodic rap and hip hop.
The opening show will take place at Circle on 7th in Melville, giving Johannesburg fans the first opportunity to experience Blue Pappi‘s latest era live. Tickets for the performance are already available through the link in the rapper’s Instagram bio, with the tour serving as a natural continuation of his recently released Road to Ehlane EP.
Dropped in late July, the nine-track project showcased Blue Pappi’s signature blend of heartfelt storytelling, melodic delivery and distinctly South African influences. Songs including “Ama Getdown,” “Umandla” featuring Jay Jody, “Kamo,” and “Umngani” captured an artist navigating personal growth while laying the foundation for an even bigger chapter.
The tour also marks another important milestone in Blue Pappi’s carefully planned musical journey. Following Road to Ehlane, fans can expect the arrival of the Ehlane mixtape before the release of Emadlelweni 2.0, the sequel to his acclaimed 2025 debut album Emadlelweni Aluhlaza.
That debut project introduced listeners to Blue Pappi’s deeply personal songwriting, seamlessly weaving together Zulu and English while exploring themes of identity, faith, home and ambition. Inspired by the imagery of Psalm 23’s “green pastures,” the album helped establish him as one of the country’s most introspective young artists.
Beyond Johannesburg, the EHLANE Tour will continue with a performance in Durban at Huè Cafe on 18 September, before heading to The Blue Room in Cape Town on 16 October. An additional Durban date has also been teased, with more information expected soon.
