Mpilo Gumede has been named on the Vodacom Bulls XV bench for Sunday’s Currie Cup clash against the Cheetahs at Loftus after missing out on the chance to face the All Blacks.
Flank Gumede and hooker Jaundre Schoeman had both been selected on the Bulls bench for the Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry tour match in Pretoria on Saturday, but lost their places when Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus released Johan Grobbelaar and Elrigh Louw.
Schoeman has not been selected for the Currie Cup match.

There are three changes to the starting XV that lost 33-31 to the Pumas at Loftus last week.
Fullback Aka Boqwana comes in for Hakeem Kunene, who is on the Bulls bench for the All Blacks match, JJ Mothlodi replaces Lindsey Jansen on the left wing and JJ Theron starts at blindside flank ahead of Abongile Nonkontwana.
Springbok loose forward Nizaam Carr is set to make his first appearance since the URC final off the bench.
The Bulls are bottom of the Currie Cup log having lost all four of their matches.
