Tony Dayimane Celebrates ‘Skuta Baba Remix’ Double Platinum Milestone. Tony Dayimane has added another major milestone to his growing list of achievements after finally collecting his Double Platinum plaque for the hit “Skuta Baba Remix.”
The rapper gave fans a glimpse of the moment through Instagram Stories shared around 20 hours ago, showing him walking through an industry space featuring logos from major music companies including Island, Def Jam, Republic, Motown, Interscope, EMI and Universal Music. Tony Dayimane kept things understated as he carried the bubble-wrapped plaque before flashing a quiet smile at the camera.
Staying true to his laid-back personality, the rapper marked the achievement with a simple caption: “double platinum & all thattt.”
The plaque recognises the success of the “Skuta Baba Remix” by Woodblock DJs, a collaborative anthem featuring Cassper Nyovest, Kwesta, Buzzi Lee, Kane Keid, Mvelost, Set Off and Tony Dayimane. Released in late 2024 and licensed to Universal Music South Africa, the record went on to become one of the standout songs of its era.
The remix gained significant traction across the country, dominating charts while also fuelling viral dance moments. Its momentum continued into the 2025 Metro FM Music Awards, where it picked up Song of the Year and Best Viral Challenge honours before receiving its Double Platinum certification in July 2025.
