Rassie Erasmus will oversee his 100th Test as Springbok boss when the world champions tackle the All Blacks in Baltimore on Saturday.
Erasmus reached another significant milestone earlier this season when he took charge of the Boks for a record 55th Test as head coach against Scotland in Pretoria, surpassing Jake White’s previous mark of 54.
He has since extended that record to 60 Tests across his two spells as head coach, from 2018-19 and again from 2024.
However, Erasmus was also intimately involved with the Boks as director of rugby when Jacques Nienaber served as head coach for 39 Tests from 2020 to 2023.
That takes Erasmus’ overall tally overseeing the Boks since 2018 to 99 Tests, with Saturday’s Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry series finale at M&T Bank Stadium bringing up his century.
During that period, the Boks have won 73 Tests, drawn one and lost 25, giving them a win rate of 73.7%.
The Boks have won back-to-back World Cups, in Japan in 2019 and France in 2023, as well as three Rugby Championship titles.
They also claimed a 2-1 series win against the British & Irish Lions 2-1 in 2021 and lead the All Blacks 2-1 in the Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry series.

Erasmus will now look to celebrate his century by guiding the Boks to another victory over their greatest rivals in Baltimore.
