YoungstaCPT Brings Wynberg’s Story To Life In “WILDBERG” Music Video. YoungstaCPT has taken fans back to the streets that shaped him with the official music video for “WILDBERG,” the opening track from his latest mixtape Worldwide Wynberg.

Released on 14 September 2026, the visual was filmed entirely in Wynberg, Cape Town, giving viewers an intimate look at the neighbourhood YoungstaCPT, whose real name is Riyadh Roberts, has called home. Featuring Crosby Bolani and production from New York-based Cartune Beatz, “WILDBERG” captures the area through the eyes of someone who grew up in its streets.
Rather than relying on elaborate sets or a polished fantasy, the video focuses on familiar streets, parks, backyards and local faces. Interviews with people who have known YoungstaCPT since childhood add another layer to the story, with residents reflecting on the young boy they watched grow into one of Cape Town’s most recognisable hip-hop voices.
Some recall his early freestyle sessions in the park, while others speak about the influence he has had on the community and his ability to give a voice to a place that once received little attention.
The song blends Cape hip-hop with reggae influences, with Crosby Bolani bringing a contribution that carries the spirit of Junior Reid. YoungstaCPT uses the track to reflect on his upbringing, including his experiences moving between church life and the realities of street hustle.
He also touches on the early hustles that helped him pay his school fees and the lasting effects of trauma, with the title “WILDBERG” carrying deeper meaning through its W-I-L-D-B-E-R-G acronym.
Cartune Beatz keeps the production stripped back, using sparse drums and a weighty atmosphere that leaves room for YoungstaCPT’s lyrics to remain at the centre of the song.
Worldwide Wynberg, released at the end of July, marks YoungstaCPT’s 36th project and his first full-length release of 2026. The mixtape explores Wynberg and neighbouring Wittebome through the rapper’s personal experiences, presenting the area as both a place of refuge and hardship.
The project features appearances from names including DJ Ready D, Nym Lo and Omari Hardwick, but its strongest focus remains on the communities and experiences that shaped YoungstaCPT.
The “WILDBERG” visual continues that approach. Director of photography MAES, also known as Dillon Lee, and the Y?GEN team keep the camera close to the action, capturing everyday surroundings and familiar faces instead of relying on major cameos or elaborate production.
The result feels part music video and part visual record of Wynberg, with YoungstaCPT using his own story to document the environment that helped shape his identity and music.
“WILDBERG” is now available on YoungstaCPT’s official YouTube channel.
