Two first-choice players have been released from the Springbok squad ahead of next Sunday’s one-off Test against the Wallabies in Perth.
Coach Rassie Erasmus revealed on Saturday that flank Pieter-Steph du Toit and centre Damian de Allende will return to South Africa to spend time with their families after a demanding workload during the Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry series against the All Blacks.
Erasmus said there is sufficient cover within the travelling squad for the match at the 61,000-capacity Optus Stadium, which kicks off at 11:45am (SA time).
