Jay Jody Drops New Single “Be About It” Jay Jody has officially reconnected with his Tr!be, returning with a brand-new solo single titled “Be About It.”
The Revenge Club Records co-founder first teased the release earlier this week with a simple message to his supporters. On Tuesday, he took to social media to write, “Dumelang! … to MY Tr!be. I’ve missed you! However, the good news is that we get to reconnect this Friday, the 25th. I have something to share with you. See you then!”
Now available across major streaming platforms, “Be About It” was produced by Superium Beatz, with post-production handled by Jay Loopz. The track carries a sharp and polished sound, while its title captures the record’s central energy: action, intention and authenticity
Rather than arriving with an elaborate rollout, Jay Jody has allowed the music to speak for itself. That approach has become part of his identity as an artist who has consistently carved out his own lane without chasing the noise around him.
The new single also follows a period of collaborative work, including his ongoing Cool&Blak project with fellow South African hip-hop veteran Blaklez. While those collaborations have kept him creatively active, “Be About It” puts the spotlight firmly back on Jay Jody.
His journey has taken him from his B3nchMarQ days to the deeply personal Heaven Can Wait era alongside his younger brother A-Reece, followed by solo projects including Sunset Stories and SHINE O’ CLOCK. With each chapter, Jay Jody has continued to develop a sound and identity that stand apart.
“Be About It” therefore feels less like a reinvention and more like another entry into an already established story.
