Issi Continues His Rise With New Project “6lekkes ~ Rd 6.” Durban rapper Issi has added another project to his growing catalogue with the release of 6lekkes ~ Rd 6, an eight-track offering that arrived on 25 September 2026.
The Chesterville-born artist follows his earlier project Dawn ~ The Beginning with a release that continues to showcase his measured approach to South African hip-hop. Rather than leaning heavily on hype, Issi lets the music carry the latest chapter of his journey.
The project follows the release of “Go Down Low,” which dropped a week earlier and features production from Coach Kling alongside background vocals from Natasha MD. The track introduced a laid-back, late-night feel that carries into the wider project.
Issi brings Lowfeye into the fold on “No More Tears,” with Subbgotclout handling production. The project also features The North Mob on “Hop Out,” bringing together Carlow Picasso, Orieblxckmaestro, Trophy and MajorIcey. Crxigcreates and Lucent.exe provide the production on the track.
Elsewhere, the eight-track project includes “Ishayile,” produced by Crxigcreates, as well as “Safe,” which features Natasha MD and production from Therealslaypapi. The tracklist is rounded out by songs including “Play Flair” and “Coshu’pin.”
With 6lekkes ~ Rd 6, Issi continues to build his catalogue while maintaining the sound and approach that have defined his recent releases. The project also adds another layer to his story as a young artist emerging from Durban’s Chesterville scene.
