Georgia’s Black Lion scored a converted try at the death to beat the Pumas in Tbilisi on Thursday.
Replacement hooker Irakli Kvatadze crossed from a maul with time up before flyhalf Luka Tsirekidze slotted the conversion to snatch a 21-19 victory in the Toyota Challenge.
The Pumas, who led 12-7 at half-time, were made to pay for three yellow cards and two second-half opportunities when they were unable to ground the ball over the Black Lion tryline.
The hosts struck first through a maul in the 19th minute, but the Pumas responded despite being reduced to 14 men when flyhalf Clinton Swart went over after sustained pressure.
Lock Stephan Kruger then crossed shortly before the break to give the visitors a five-point advantage.

Black Lion drew level in the second half through No 8 Otar Giorgadze while Pumas lock Tiaan de Klerk was in the sin bin.
However, the Lowvelders hit back while still a man down, with wing Lundi Msenge finishing off an attack to put them 19-14 ahead with 13 minutes remaining.
They held that advantage beyond the 80-minute mark, but late penalties allowed Black Lion to set up one final assault.
The Pumas face the Lusitanos in their final match on Sunday.
