Kane Keid Announces New Single “Take Time” Featuring Sino Msolo and Ficz. Kane Keid is slowing things down with his next release. The Thembisa-born artist, whose real name is Lonwabo Nkhoesa, has announced a new collaborative single titled “Take Time,” featuring Sino Msolo and Ficz.
Kane Keid revealed the collaboration on social media, saying the single will drop on 9 October and encouraging fans to pre-save the track ahead of its release. ““Take Time” 09/10 Pre-save in my bio,” he wrote.
“Take Time” brings together three artists with distinct approaches to melody and hip-hop. Keid has built a reputation for introspective writing and detailed storytelling, while Sino Msolo has become known for his soulful vocals and contributions to the Amapiano and Afro-pop space. Ficz adds another melodic layer to the collaboration, having previously worked with Keid on tracks including “BIG.”
The upcoming single also arrives as Keid continues to explore a broader musical palette. His previous work, including “Brown Sugar” with Xowié and the Not Famous EP, has highlighted his ability to move between rap, R&B influences and atmospheric production. He is also continuing the rollout around his SON OF SOiL album.
At 23, Keid has already attracted attention beyond South Africa, with international names such as Timbaland, will.i.am and Pusha T previously showing support for his music. His journey from the Sportscene “Put Me On” platform to an increasingly recognised independent voice in South African hip-hop has been marked by a steady approach to his craft.
“Take Time” seems to continue that progression, bringing together Keid’s reflective songwriting, Sino Msolo’s vocals, and Ficz’s melodic sensibility.
