Edinburgh coach Sean Everitt has challenged his side to find consistency when they host the Stormers at Hive Stadium on Friday night.
The Scottish club opened their URC campaign with an impressive 34-29 away win over Ulster, but Everitt knows his team must produce that level of performance more regularly if they want to be genuine contenders this season.
“One thing we need to work on is the consistency of our performances from week to week,” Everitt said in the afterglow of his side’s Belfast triumph.
“That’s let us down in the past, where we are high one week and then down the next. We have got to build on this win, keep our feet on the ground and move forward in a positive way.”

Everitt was also pleased with the contribution of experienced flyhalf James Grayson, who joined Edinburgh after stints with English Premiership club the Northampton Saints and the Mitsubishi Dynaboars in Japan.
The South African is looking for another big showing from him against the high-flying Stormers, who also impressed away from home with a 29-15 win over Connacht.
“It’s been great. We’re really pleased to have added him to the group,” said Everitt.
“He’s an impressive player, someone who reads the game well, and he comes with a lot of experience. He played 100 games in the Prem for Northampton and played with some really good players in Japan as well.
“He has shown good leadership within the group. The team has got a lot of respect for him and he marshalled his troops really well on Friday night.”
Scotland internationals Pierre Schoeman and Ewan Ashman are expected to add some grunt to the Edinburgh pack for the Stormers clash.
