Cassper Nyovest’s Million Voices campaign has secured a major financial boost after SGS South Africa donated R100,000 towards the rapper’s mission to combat period poverty and help more girls remain in school. The contribution marks the campaign’s biggest publicly acknowledged donation to date, adding momentum to the initiative’s goal of improving access to essential menstrual products.

The award-winning rapper took to social media to thank the global testing, inspection and certification company for supporting the cause. “A big thank you to SGS South Africa, the world’s leading Testing, Inspection and Certification company, for your contribution towards A Million Voices & our mission to end period poverty. Our biggest contribution so far and we are so grateful,” he wrote.

Nyovest also highlighted the difference the contribution could make in the lives of young girls, particularly those whose access to menstrual hygiene products affects their education. “Your support brings us one step closer to ensuring that more girls have access to essential menstrual products & can continue their education with dignity. Thank you for being part of the change!” he added.

Photos accompanying the announcement captured the cheque handover ceremony, dated 1 October 2026, with Cassper Nyovest posing alongside SGS representatives while holding the R100,000 cheque.

Launched in July 2026, Million Voices aims to reach one million girls through efforts to address period poverty in South Africa. The initiative draws on Nyovest’s perspective as a husband and father to a young daughter, with the rapper previously speaking about how recently he became aware of the scale of the problem.

Period poverty remains a challenge for many South African learners, with limited access to menstrual hygiene products affecting school attendance and educational opportunities. Million Voices aims to raise R100 million to provide sanitary products, protect girls’ dignity and help them stay in the classroom.

The campaign has also attracted support from other corporate partners, including Universal Music South Africa, which previously contributed R25,000. SGS South Africa’s R100,000 donation represents a significant addition to the campaign’s fundraising efforts and demonstrates the role corporate contributions can play in supporting community initiatives.

As part of the global SGS network, SGS South Africa’s involvement brings further corporate backing to Nyovest’s campaign, which seeks to connect financial support with a practical need affecting girls across the country. The partnership places access to menstrual products, education and equality at the centre of the initiative.

With the latest contribution, Million Voices moves another step towards its ambitious fundraising target. For Nyovest, the campaign is about more than raising money. It is about helping girls access the products they need, attend school with dignity and pursue their education without menstrual hygiene challenges standing in their way.
