Head coach JP Pietersen has named a 28-man squad for the Sharks’ EPCR Challenge Cup and URC fixtures overseas while providing an injury update on several players.
The Durbanites kick off their Challenge Cup campaign against Lyon at the Stade de Gerland on Saturday, before trips to Cardiff and Munster in the URC over the following two weeks.
Pietersen has selected 17 forwards and 11 backs that include Springboks Jaden and Jordan Hendrikse, Jason Jenkins, Vincent Koch, Vincent Tshituka and Jaco Williams.
ICYMI: Bongi’s Sharks future in doubt
Tshituka and Williams, along with Jordan Hendrikse, are in line to make their first appearances of the season, but several fellow Boks have been left at home.

Etzebeth, Buthelezi and Moyo all started last week’s derby defeat by the Stormers in Cape Town.
