Season over for another All Black

The All Blacks have been hit with a sixth injury blow ahead of the resumption of the Nations Championship in November.

Winger Leroy Carter will miss the end-of-year tour to the northern hemisphere after undergoing surgery for an ankle injury sustained in the opening Bledisloe Cup Test against Australia at Eden Park.

Carter was hurt while scoring in New Zealand’s 50-19 victory. The 27-year-old was helped from the field and subsequently ruled out of the return match in Sydney, which the All Blacks won 43-21.

TONY: Boks have got everything right

New Zealand captain Ardie Savea, loose forward Luke Jacobson, winger Caleb Clarke, flyhalf Ruben Love and prop Ollie Norris had already been ruled out with shoulder, elbow, ankle and knee injuries.

The All Blacks begin their tour against Scotland at Murrayfield on 7 November, before facing Wales in Cardiff on 14 November and England in London a week later.

Loose forward Shannon Frizell and hooker Samisoni Taukei’aho are also being monitored after picking up injuries in the Sydney Test. Their availability has yet to be confirmed.
