Head coach Richie Murphy has welcomed seven reinforcements to the Ulster camp ahead of Saturday’s round-five URC clash against the Stormers at Cape Town Stadium.
South African Ireland international Rob Herring, along with Tom Brigg, Sam Crean, Jed Findlay, James Hume, Martin Moloney and Zac Ward have joined the squad in Cape Town.
ICYMI: Stormers count cost of ‘bizarre’ win
This after the Ulstermen bid farewell to the likes of Nick Timoney, Jamie Benson, Stuart McCloskey, Nathan Doak, and Jacob Stockdale, who have all linked up with the national team in preparation for the Nations Championship next month.
Ulster are desperate to rebound from last week’s 34-26 defeat by the Bulls in Pretoria. Murphy’s men sit 13th in the standings after two draws and two losses.
They now face a fifth-placed Stormers team unbeaten at home after three matches, most recently beating the Scarlets in a 52-40 thriller.
