Producer BZM Scores First Major International Placement On Skepta’s New Album “The Fork and Knife.” South African producer BZM has reached a significant career milestone, securing his first major international placement on British rap heavyweight Skepta’s newly released sixth studio album, The Fork and Knife.

Released today, November 6, 2026, through Big Smoke/Epic Records, the 15-track project features BZM’s co-production on “Cold Shower,” the album’s third track, which brings together Skepta and Memphis rap veteran Project Pat.
Taking to social media to celebrate the achievement, BZM reflected on the five-year journey that led to the moment, expressing gratitude to God for turning what was once a dream into reality.
“Five years of hard work, sacrifices, and belief have finally led to this moment. My first major international placement is out at midnight. A dream I once prayed for, now a reality. Thank you, God. This is only the beginning,” he wrote.
BZM shares the production credits on “Cold Shower” with Baso, M1OnTheBeat and Cxzy.exe, marking an important international breakthrough for the Johannesburg-based beatmaker. The track also features songwriting contributions from Skepta and Project Pat.
The placement represents a major step forward for BZM, who has steadily built his reputation within South Africa’s hip-hop scene through collaborations with artists including MashBeatz, Wordz and Mochen. Known for his hard-hitting production, atmospheric melodies and ability to bring different sounds together, the producer has continued to establish himself as part of the country’s evolving hip-hop landscape.
Landing a credit on a Skepta album places his work alongside an impressive collection of international names. The Fork and Knife also features appearances from Central Cee, Jorja Smith, Asake, Novelist and other notable artists.
For Skepta, the album marks his return with a solo studio project seven years after releasing Ignorance Is Bliss in 2019. The new body of work explores themes of identity, family, resilience and cultural heritage, drawing from his experiences as a British-Nigerian artist while bringing together influences from grime, trap, Afrobeats and beyond.
With “Cold Shower,” BZM becomes part of a project that further highlights the creative exchange between the UK and US hip-hop scenes, while bringing South African production talent into an international conversation.
More than just another production credit, the achievement represents years of persistence finally opening a new door for the Johannesburg producer. As he celebrates a milestone he once prayed for, BZM is already looking ahead, making it clear that this is only the beginning.
The Fork and Knife, including “Cold Shower,” is now available on major streaming platforms.
