Taking to Instagram, Emtee shared a picture of the late US rapper who tragically passed away in November 2022. Emtee‘s post reflected Takeoff’s influence on the music industry, highlighting his talent and impact. Takeoff could’ve turned 30 years old yesterday.
“My favourite Migo. I loved you like I knew you. Your silence spoke volumes. You really rapped your ass off, people were too lazy to listen to what you were saying in your music. RIP TAKE. Happy Birthday, kid.” Wrote Emtee.
Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was tragically shot and killed in November 2022. Despite his untimely death, his influence continues to reverberate through the hip-hop community. Taking it back home, Emtee also lost one of the influential SA rappers, AKA who was also killed due to gun violence. “An idol. An icon. A father. The only nigga who ever gave Big Hustle pressure and nervous in the studio,” Emtee wrote in honour of the Supa Mega.
