Who are Manchester United’s signings for the 2024/25 season?
(1) Joshua Zirkzee:
One of Manchester United’s summer signings of the season is Dutchman, Joshua Zirkzee who completed his move to Old Trafford from Bologna with a lot of expectations from the supporters of the Red Devils. Zirkzee signed a five-year year deal which will keep him at the club until 2029, according to reports United paid £36 million to Bologna.
The youngster will bring his experience to Manchester United following his experience from last season with Bologna. He was named the 2023/24 Serie A Under-23 Player of the Year, and was Bologna FC’s top goalscorer last season, helping his team qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
(2) Leny Yoro:
Manchester United completed the signing of Leny Yoro from Ligue 1 side, Lille, which is the Red Devils’ second signing of the 2024 summer transfer window. It confirmed the signing of the young defender on its official website on Thursday, July 18, 2024. According to reports from the club, Leny Yoro signed a five-year deal, which will keep him at the club at least until 2029.
The young defender was fantastic for Lille last season, which was the reason why United opted to pay £50 million for him despite having one year left on his contract with the French side. Real Madrid were initially interested in bringing in the 18-year-old to Bernabeu, but they were not ready to break the bank to bring on Yoro.
