Blues No 8 banned for high hit

Hoskins Sotutu has been given a three-week suspension for a high tackle on Hurricanes flank Peter Lakai that resulted in a red card in Wellington on Saturday.

The Super Rugby Pacific Foul Play Review Committee (FPRC) determined that the 75th-minute tackle met the mid-range entry point for foul play, warranting a six-match suspension.

However, the No 8’s admission of guilt and other mitigating factors like his good disciplinary record saw it reduced to three.
