Head coach Steve Borthwick is cautiously optimistic that fullback George Furbank and wing Immanuel Feyi-Waboso will return for England’s Six Nations run-in.
Speaking after Saturday’s 26-25 victory against France at Twickenham, Borthwick confirmed Furbank, out since December with a broken arm, is awaiting a specialist’s report.
“George is going well,” he said. “He had a re-X-ray last week, and we’re waiting for the specialist’s view. Hopefully, he might be available at the end of the tournament.”

Feyi-Waboso, expected to miss the championship with a dislocated shoulder, opted against surgery and is recovering well. “He’s rehabbing well,” Borthwick revealed, leaving the door open for a return next month.
England, third in the standings before week’s break in the tournament, remain in the title race ahead of crucial clashes against Scotland (22 February), Italy (9 March) and Wales (15 March).
