Six Nations trophy destroyed

The Six Nations trophy has been retired after suffering irreparable damage. The vehicle transporting the trophy in Ireland caught fire, leaving it beyond restoration to what organisers described as “full presentation standard”. As a result, the current trophy will be decommissioned, with its materials set to be reused in the creation of a brand-new version.
