Chelsea and Arsenal reportedly set to open talks with Nigerian defender

The 24-year-old has been on the radar of both London clubs ahead of the summer transfer window. There ate also reports that Bayern Munich are also believed to be keeping tabs on his progress.

Fernandez only joined Rangers FC last summer from Peterborough United for a modest fee. He won the award for the Player of the Month in January after a string of excellent displays.

There are reports that Rangers are in no rush to sell the talented centre-back. Fernandez joined Rangers for just under three million euros last summer but the Scottish giants believe the player is now worth more than £10 million.
