Afrobeat sensation, Davido Adeleke has found himself embroiled in controversy after clapping back at an Abuja-based barber who took a swipe at him.
It all began when Davido shared photos of himself on his Instagram page on Sunday, May 4, 2024, inviting his followers to join him in the United Arab Emirates with the caption, “HABIBI COME TO DUBAI !!!!!” However, the post attracted unexpected criticism from an Abuja barber known as Kallystouch.
In a comment on Davido’s post, Kallystouch referred to the singer as the “only 3rd man in the music industry 003,” in an apparent jab at Davido’s status within the music scene. Davido did not take the insult lightly and fired back with a scathing response.
“I don save ur picture I for come Abuja … u for cut my hair wey don almost finish but u like social media … my last 3 barbers I open shop for them .. nah so u dull ur generation blessing smh,” Davido’s response read.
Despite Davido’s strong rebuttal, Kallystouch remained unfazed and even took to his Instagram story to assert his allegiance to Wizkid, referring to himself as a “Wizkid FC Barber 1” and declaring his loyalty to the Wizkid Fan Club forever.
The exchange between Davido and Kallystouch quickly sparked a social media storm, with fans and followers weighing in on the feud between the two parties. While some supported Davido’s clapback, others praised Kallystouch for standing his ground as a loyal fan of Wizkid.
As the online drama continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether Davido and Kallystouch will bury the hatchet or if their feud will escalate further, captivating the attention of fans across the music industry.
