DJ Clen Reveals Forthcoming Album Title As He Assigns Jay Jody On Intro. DJ Clen has lifted the veil on his next chapter, officially revealing the title of his upcoming album: “STILL VIRAL.”
In a candid update, the producer confirmed the project is already in motion and publicly called on @OriginalJayJody to set the tone from the very first seconds. “You know the intro is for you to handle. I have a lot I need you to talk about on my behalf,” Clen wrote, signalling a personal, statement-heavy opening that frames the album’s intent.
“STILL VIRAL” signals a return to, and evolution of, a world Clen has been building for years. In 2023, he released the full-length “V I R a L.”, cementing a theme about culture, momentum and what it means for music to move through timelines and timelines to move through music.
The following year, he doubled down with “TOO VIRAL,” a collaborative heavy-hitter that opened with a title track featuring Jay Jody, a pairing that hinted at the chemistry now being promoted to gatekeeper status on the new album.
Far from being defined by a single concept, Clen has kept his release muscle warm in 2025. In May he dropped “All Is Fair,” a lean 10-track set that showcased his ear for curation and cohesion. By August, he surfaced again alongside K-Rev on “THE ONLY WAY UP (mixtape),” underscoring a prolific year and a creative engine that refuses to idle.
The “STILL VIRAL” announcement, then, does not come from a quiet room. It arrives from an artist in motion, sharpening a signature idea rather than starting from scratch. Handing the intro to Jay Jody is not a random choice. The pair’s working shorthand is already proven. There is even lore: in late 2024, Clen revealed that Jay Jody recorded a project intro “backwards” after a beat rearrangement, a peek into the kind of experimental decisions that make an opening feel like an overture rather than a formality.
Add to that their recurring collaborations, including the earlier cut “Viral,” and you have a throughline that links the title, the thesis and the voice charged with stating it.
Jay Jody brings more than a verse. As a storyteller with deep roots in Pretoria’s scene and as the older brother and early influence of A-Reece, he occupies a unique vantage point in South African hip hop. That perspective tends to show up in intros as lived context, not mere hype, which is likely what Clen is calling on when he says he has “a lot” Jody needs to speak on.
