DJ Speedsta Reveals Fallout With Zoocci Coke Dope After Defending Stay Low. South African hip-hop personality DJ Speedsta has spoken publicly about fallout with longtime collaborator Zoocci Coke Dope after defending Stay Low Records in the ongoing contract dispute surrounding Zoocci’s music releases.

The situation stems from Zoocci’s prolonged disagreement with Stay Low, a label tied to a distribution or partnership agreement signed through his PiFFAUDIO brand. The conflict has sparked heated debate across the industry, especially after businessman Kenny Kunene publicly criticised Stay Low, accusing the label of blocking Zoocci from releasing new music.
Speedsta, however, believes the public narrative has overlooked key details. Speaking candidly on his platform, he explained that Zoocci entered the agreement through PiFFAUDIO and that the matter revolves around contractual obligations rather than ill intent.

According to Speedsta, the label’s stance is straightforward. He insisted that Stay Low does not hold any personal grudge against Zoocci or the artists connected to PiFFAUDIO. Instead, he said the label simply expects the terms of the agreement to be fulfilled.
“Stay Low is not mad at Zoocci Coke Dope or any PiFFAUDIO artist,” Speedsta explained. “All Stay Low is saying is that this is your contract you signed, and we need you to carry it through.” He added that, in his view, the label is merely enforcing a binding agreement rather than acting unfairly.

“Zoocci hates me, and he unfollowed me,” he said, recounting a private conversation between them. Speedsta explained that he had tried to reassure Zoocci that his public commentary was not meant as a personal attack.
“I told him I’m now broadcasting real facts and real hip hop to the world,” Speedsta said. “It’s going to get uncomfortable sometimes, but in terms of you and I, we’re good. I’ve got respect for you, which is why I tried to say things in a way that still protects you and our relationship.”
Despite those efforts, Speedsta admitted he was disappointed by how the situation unfolded. He suggested that Zoocci’s reaction left him questioning whether their friendship had been as solid as he believed.
“If a small thing like this can break up a friendship where we know each other’s families and I know your daughter, then maybe the relationship was not as real as I thought,” he said.
Speedsta ended his remarks by focusing on his personal priorities and commitment to the culture. He said he intends to keep moving forward with his work in hip-hop while concentrating on his family life.
