DJ Zan-D Unveils Full Lineup for Boom Bap: A Hip Hop Experience In Soweto. South Africa’s boom bap community is preparing for a major gathering of heads as veteran selector DJ Zan-D officially unveiled the full lineup for the upcoming Boom Bap: A Hip Hop Experience, set to take place in Pimville on 14 March 2026.
The event celebrates the spirit of Golden Era Hip Hop, bringing together DJs, lyricists, and cultural tastemakers who continue to keep the classic boom bap sound alive. According to DJ Zan-D’s announcement, the gathering is designed for listeners who appreciate the roots of the culture, from dusty vinyl selections to the uniquely South African interpretation of traditional hip hop sounds.
The lineup reflects that mission.
On the decks, audiences can expect sets from a strong roster of selectors including P-Kuttah, Ace of Spades, Kgosigadi, Zan-D, Deeboi Chiefrocka, Fif Laaa, Mr C, Neyney, AMU, and C-Live. The DJ lineup promises a full day of classic breaks, raw drum patterns, and carefully curated boom bap selections.
Live performances will also take centre stage, with respected lyricists and hip hop voices stepping up to the mic. The performance lineup includes ShabZi Madallion, Maraza, AP, Wordsmith, and Peace Job (CJB & Smanga 9000).

The event will take place at On The Rails in Pimville, Soweto, with doors opening at 12:00 PM. Early tickets are priced at R100 via Webtickets, while entry at the door will cost R150, with card payments only.
