England rise in World Rugby rankings

England have climbed the World Rugby rankings after beating the Wallabies at Twickenham.

Steve Borthwick’s side moved up to fourth place, leapfrogging France, following their 25-7 victory, while Australia remain seventh.

The All Blacks stay second after coming back from 10-0 down to beat Ireland 26-13 in Chicago, but have closed the gap on the No 1-ranked Springboks.

The world champions received no ranking points from their 61-7 thrashing of Japan due to the large gap in ranking points between the teams.
